Hi, I'm Ben!
I'm a computer programmer (beep boop)
I graduated from Virginia Tech in May of 2022 with a B.Sc. in Computer Science. You can check out some details about my coursework and class projects on the Education page.
During that time, I was an intern for the OpenNMS Group! You can read a bit about my work for them on my resume. I was also an instructor for iD Tech Camps for two summers.
Programming is my passion. I like learning new things, and then using those new things to make other new things.
Here are a few of those new things I've made:
- Plateau, a 2-dimensional life simulation game. This is the one I'm most proud of, even if it still isn't finished. I set out to make a video game on my own, teaching myself the basics of game development (using C# and the MonoGame framework), pixel art, and everything else I needed to know as the need arose. I also gained an appreciation for just how much work even small projects can be.
- SheriffScorer, an Android scoresheet app for the Sheriff of Nottingham board game. I taught myself some Android development for this one.
10K+ downloads on Google Play, 4.5 ★ average review.
- This website! I didn't have the chance to learn any web development while working on my undergraduate degree, but the plethora of online resources made it easy to learn the basics.
- Check out some other projects on the Projects page!

And yes, seagreen is my favorite HTML color. How'd you guess?
